I love to go antique shopping here in Jefferson Texas. Yesterday we stopped in the Brayden and Company on N. Walnut St.
We went in to pick up some furniture refinishing products for our Gentleman’s Armoire that needs some freshening up. While David was getting the products he needs I walked around and shopped a bit. Every time we go in there we find new items and have bought some of the pieces we have here at our Jefferson TX bed and breakfast from here and other antique shops in town.
This shop has some really unique items on display; I fell in love with the stained glass lamps today. But I could not take them home I just don’t have any place for them.
The big buggy in the front entrance is so beautiful it makes you want to climb in and take a ride.
They have so many items it’s hard to hone in on just one or two items to take home with you.
Today I did find a set of silver plated napkin rings with gold tone bows on the top and they were displayed on a beautiful silver leaf shaped tray so I just had to bring them home. I had been looking for napkin rings for quite some time so these were just perfect.
Another great thing about living in Jefferson Texas with its many antique shops is that when you also live in an old house with old hardware you have easy access to replacement parts. Like one of our door handle mechanisms broke and David was able to find a replacement in just a few minutes at one of the antique shops.
So next time you’re in town be sure to visit one or many of the shops in Jefferson, you will find so many different items you’ll surely want to take something home for your decor.
